Frequently Asked Questions

What is meant by "on-location" services? Do you have a salon or will you come to me?  Is there a fee?

"On-Location" services means that I will come to you, and we will glam you up at the comfort & convenience of your own home or at your desired location/venue.  We are a mobile team and will travel to you.  There is no fee associated with this, provided that you are less than 25 miles away from Alhambra.  If your venue is farther than 25 miles, there is a charge of $1.00/mile.

When should I book my bridal hair & makeup preview?

You should book a bridal makeup preview 6-8 months before your wedding.  Please note that booking a preview does not guarantee reservation for your wedding day.  A reservation for your wedding date is confirmed only after a 50% retainer fee is received with a signed contract.  Bridal previews will take place at our location in San Gabriel.

Why should I book a bridal makeup preview? How long will it take?

A bridal makeup trial is highly recommended because it is an in-depth consultation between the bride and the makeup artist.  The trial will take roughly 90 minutes and during this time, the bride and makeup artist will come up with the perfect look for the bride's wedding day.  Skin allergies, makeup allergies and other concerns should be addressed at this time.  A bridal makeup preview is important so that the bride can try out her look, wear it out for friends & family's feedback, test to see how long-wearing her makeup will be, & make any adjustments/give feedback prior to her actual wedding day.  We want you to be relaxed & stress-free!

I've just had my bridal preview - YOUR WORK IS AMAZING - What is your booking policy?

A client is given 7 days from the day of the bridal makeup preview to book a reservation for her wedding date & provide a 50% non-refundable retainer fee along with the signed contract to hold the date.  Once the 50% retainer fee is received, your wedding date reservation will be confirmed.  It is important for the you to secure your wedding date as soon as possible after your trial, as appointments fill up quickly particularly during prime wedding season. You should also take this time to address any feedback you may have from the preview & alert me of any changes you may want to make for the day of the wedding.

What types of products do you use? What if I am allergic to certain cosmetics?

I use professional grade quality cosmetics for all of my editorial, fashion & bridal work.  Some brands that I use include: Graftobian, Ben Nye, Senna Cosmetics, Temptu, Kryolan, Chanel, Bobbi Brown, Guerlain, Estee Lauder, Make Up For Ever, Urban Decay, Smashbox, etc.

I know that looking "cakey" or heavy is a major concern, and I keep in mind that most of my clients do not wear makeup on a regular basis, so I am conscientious about the amount of products and type of products that I use.

If you have a specific skin or cosmetic allergy, please let me know beforehand & I will definitely substitute the product or find a safe alternative for you.

My fiance may want a face touch-up.  What types of services do you offer for grooms?

Light eyebrow cleaning, as well as powder or extremely light/natural foundation is used for the groom.  One common complaint is that the groom always seems to look oily or sweaty in photos - we will use a mattifying primer/sealing spray to help alleviate this issue.

I'm very concerned about the longevity of my makeup - have you had any issues with this?

I can assure you that my motto is to create a "bullet-proof" bride/client - I take extreme measures to prime every centimeter of your eyes/face.  I use water-resistant makeup as well as water-resistant lash glue.  I will make sure that you are touched up before I leave the venue.

What forms of payment do you accept?

At this time, we accept payment via cash, check, Venmo, Chase QuickPay, and Paypal (client is responsible for 3% transaction fee).

What if I need to change the number of services for the day of my wedding?

Services may be added but not subtracted on the day of the wedding.  The 50% non-refundable retainer fee is reflective of the number of services indicated on the contract and will not be refunded if you decide to reduce the number of services needed on the day of the wedding.

When is my final balance due?

The final balance is due 5 business days before the date of your wedding.

Please note that balances do not include gratuity and that this can be made payable on the day of the wedding, or included in the balance sent prior to the wedding date.

What is included in your makeup fee?

Free false lash application as well as light eyebrow shaping (if desired) are included. Airbrush foundation is available for an additional fee.

Do you offer hair services as well?

Do you offer any other services besides bridal hair& makeup?
